Privacy
Last updated 4 October 2026.
PricePin is operated by Haakon Tveter, Kristian Fjelds gate 40a, 2335 Stange, Norway. For privacy questions or to ask for deletion, email hello@playpricepin.com. We do not sell personal data.
Without an account
The daily game runs in your browser. Your streak, recent scores, currency choice and sound setting stay in local storage on that device. A cookie named pp_player remembers this browser so today's score distribution is counted once. It does not identify you by name.
Exchange rates are fetched from a public service (open.er-api.com) so prices can be shown in your currency. That request does not include your account. Photos are stored with PricePin and credited to the photographer on Wikimedia Commons. Playing does not send your account to Wikimedia.
With an account
If you create an account we store your email, the sign-in method (password or Google), a nickname, game scores, battle and royale results, ratings, and the preferences you set, such as leaderboard opt-in and currency. This lets a streak and a score follow you between devices.
If you turn on the public leaderboard, your nickname and score can be shown to other players. Your email is not shown. Battle nicknames are visible to the people in that match.
Account data is stored with Supabase in the EU (Stockholm). Sign-in uses a session cookie. Google receives the sign-in only if you choose Continue with Google.
Plus and payments
If you subscribe, Stripe processes the payment. We store a Stripe customer id and whether Plus is active, including when it ends. We do not store your full card number. Stripe's own privacy terms cover the card details they collect.
Account emails, such as confirm-your-email and password reset, are sent from hello@playpricepin.com through Cloudflare. We use your address for those messages and to reply if you write to us. We do not send a newsletter.
How long we keep it
We keep account data while the account exists. If you ask us to delete it, we remove the profile, scores and sign-in, unless we must keep a record for a legal reason, such as a payment Stripe is required to retain. Browser storage and the pp_player cookie stay on your device until you clear them. The cookie lasts about 400 days and is renewed when you play.
Your rights
You can ask for a copy of your data, a correction, or deletion, and you can opt out of the public leaderboard in your account. Email hello@playpricepin.com. If you are in the EEA you can also complain to Datatilsynet, the Norwegian data protection authority, or the authority where you live.
PricePin is not directed at children under 16, and Plus is only for people who can enter a payment contract.
